Air Canada increasing scheduled flights at Kamloops, Penticton airports

FILE PHOTO - Air Canada has announced it will be increasing service to the regional airport in Penticton and Kamloops later this month.

It could be a sign of the beginning of a return to pre-COVID air travel from the small regional airports in Kamloops and Penticton.

Air Canada has announced more scheduled flights to and from the airpots in Penticton and Kamloops.

A spokesperson for Air Canada said in an email today, June 4, the airline is planning to resume four flights per week to its Penticton to Vancouver route beginning June 28. The airline hopes to ramp that up to five flights per week in August.

In Kamloops, the Air Canada will resume four flights per week to both Vancouver and Calgary on June 28 and June 27 respectively.

Those flights are expected to become daily to both Vancouver and Calgary beginning in mid-July with a further increase to three times a day to Vancouver and twice daily to Calgary on Aug. 3.

Further details can be found on Air Canada's booking site here.
