Two BC children who are the subject of an Amber Alert may have been moved off the grid.
Surrey RCMP now say the abduction of Aurora, 8, and Joshua Bolton, 10, was pre-planned and the five people they are searching for are likely living in trailers in a rural area.
"The public is going to play a major role in locating Aurora and Joshuah," RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Tammy Lobb said in a news release issued today, July 24.
The detachment started a tip line last week as they continue to search for the children and their mother, Verity Bolton.

The search began when the children weren't returned to their father in Surrey on July 17 as planned. They had left on a vacation to the Kelowna area, but were reported missing to Surrey RCMP on July 18. The Amber Alert was issued, July 19.
Bolton is likely also travelling with her boyfriend, Abraxas Glazov. He's 53 years old and from the Nelson area, but he has connections to the Deadman Valley and Vidette Lake area, near Kamloops, according to RCMP.
Police say Glazov is an outdoorsman, "enjoys fishing," and has a history of living "off the grid."

Verity's father, Robert Bolton, has also been travelling with them. The 74-year-old is from Chilliwack and they picked him up from his home on June 30.
"Robert has health concerns and may present as confused and/or disoriented. The circumstances around this are part of the ongoing investigation," the RCMP news release reads.

The children and their mother were last seen in downtown Kelowna on June 30, but have since been spotted on surveillance footage in other communities. Aurora and Joshuah were last seen in Merritt on July 7, while their mother was seen grocery shopping in Kamloops on July 15.
"Police and family continue to have concerns for safety and wellbeing of the children," the RCMP news release reads.
The RCMP tip line has received more than 180 tips since it was set up on Friday, but there hasn't been a confirmed sighting of the children since they were seen in Merritt.
“We need the public to be alive to the information and photos we have shared and to be our eyes and ears and continue to call us with any tips and possible sightings," Sgt. Lobb said.
The blue 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 they are believed to be driving has been seen with three different trailers since June 30. The public has been asked to be on the lookout for the truck, which carries a BC license plate of SJ2708.
