88 new COVID cases in Interior Health

In the past 24 hours there were 88 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the Interior Health region and 326 in the province as a whole.

There were 92 new cases in the Fraser Health region, 71 on Vancouver Island, 22 in Northern Health and 53 in Vancouver Coastal, according to a news release issued by the Province of B.C. today, Dec. 7.

There was one more death, in the Northern Health region, bringing the provincial total to 2,363.

There are 2,814 active cases with 242 B.C. residents in hospital, of which 82 are in intensive care.

The vaccination rate for those aged 12 and over with at least one dose is unchanged at 91.3% while those with two doses edged up to 88.2%. There are 11% of B.C. residents who have received a third dose.
