Seven people are homeless as a result of a house fire in Osoyoos this past weekend.
Osoyoos Fire Rescue was called to a residence in the 12000 block of Highway 97 around 4:27 p.m. yesterday, May 30, to see open flames coming out a window and fire breaking through the roof of the building, according to a media release.
A total of 17 personnel attended the scene, including members from the Oliver fire department. It took crews over three hours to put out the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Seven people are in the care of emergency support services as a result of the fire.
