The Kamloops RCMP are investigating after four people were stabbed at an apartment complex on Carson Crescent.
"At 11:32 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, RCMP responded to a 9-1-1 call that led them to an apartment complex on Carson Crescent. An initial investigation has revealed that four people were stabbed during a party in one of the apartments," according to an RCMP media release.
A 59-year-old man died at the scene and two men, a 58-year-old and 62-year-old, are currently in the hospital with life threatening injuries. A 21-year-old man has non-life threatening injuries, according to the news release.
At about 1 a.m. on Sunday, March 29 the RCMP arrested a 43-year-old man in relation to this incident.
"The Kamloops Serious Crime Unit has taken over this case. We are at the early stage of this investigation and there is very little reliable information that we can provide to the public at this time. Based on our current understanding of this incident, there is no danger to the public. The alleged suspect and victims appear to have known each other," said Sgt Simon Pillay, Kamloops RCMP plainclothes commander.
