$10,000 worth of stolen property seized by RCMP from Rutland home

Roughly $10,000 worth of stolen property was found in a Rutland home yesterday morning by Kelowna RCMP officers.

On July 23, Kelowna RCMP Community Safety Unit members executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3000-block of Springfield Road. Nine people were arrested and have since been released pending the RCMP's investigation results and a review of the file by BC Prosecution Services for charge approval, according to the RCMP in a news release.

The items that were recovered include bicycles, power tools and other equipment, including welding equipment that could be seen being loaded onto a tow truck yesterday with RCMP members at the scene.

Drugs and money were also seized, according to the news release.

No further information is being released at this time and anyone with any information regarding criminal activity is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by leaving an online tip.
