    PENTICTON - The regional district reports today services for Princeton wildfire evacuees have moved from the Riverside Community Centre to a resiliency centre at the Princeton Senior Citizens Centre, 162 Angela Avenue.
  • Proposed new Tourism Kelowna visitor's centre downtown

    In early November, Tourism Kelowna will apply to the City of Kelowna for rezoning to build a new visitor centre downtown on a small City-owned parking lot at Queensway and Mill Street, a parking lot that is slated to be closed as part of the new hotel project. It would lease this land from the City for this public amenity. The proposal is different from the one Tourism Kelowna announced earlier this year.

    LAKE COUNTRY - Community works together to plan new building for the food bank

    Residents in Lake Country have taken the maxim, “It takes a village to raise a child” one step further, pursuing the idea that it takes a community to construct a new building for its food bank.

    The Lake Country Food Assistance Society currently has leased space in the former Winfield elementary school – a building that is almost 100 years old.

    KAMLOOPS - The City of Kamloops, First Canada ULC and Seniors Outreach Society is looking for citizens that will have Christmas light displays at their residences this holiday season. The 2013 Senior’s Light Tour will be releasing a new route this year and would like to include as many new house displays as possible.
