  • Council Approves Recommendation to Update to City Greenhouse Operations

    Kamloops, BC – Council approved a recommendation today to de-commission the City’s unheated greenhouse and outsource the supply of flowers previously grown in the facility. This will reduce the Horticulture budget by $50,000, and the funds will be transferred to the Parks General Fund to offset increased operating costs in 2018 for new parks in Aberdeen and Juniper West neighbourhoods.

    The City owns one heated tropical greenhouse and one unheated greenhouse.
