Event Description

Have you ever wanted to sit out in nature and create an amazing piece of art inspired by what you see and feel. This landscape workshop, hosted by B.C. artist Jim Elwood, will spend two plein air days focusing on how to tackle the overwhelming visual information of the natural world. How to see landscapes in terms of shapes and proportions and how to deal with mood and light. Regardless of the medium of choice, students will build a greater visual command of the natural world. Each day will be at a new location and will feature a demonstration of drawing/painting and teaching studies each morning and finished artwork projects in the afternoon. Locations to be announced, artists must bring their own supplies and provide their own food, transportation.
