You’ll go from a blank canvas to a masterpiece of your own, with plenty of laughs along the way. Guided by a talented and entertaining artist, you'll be amazed at what you create, and how much fun you have doing it. Craft Corner Kitchen, 557 Main St, Penticton, BC Yaymaker events give you everything you need to get up, get out, and get making! Instruction is provided by an expert host, so no experience is required, and everything you need is supplied. Grab your friends to paint, plant, tinker, and build—and give your week something to shout about. Derrie Selles is a Canadian artist, born in Richmond, BC. living in Penticton since 1976. Her desire to create has been a driving force all her life. Inspired by Salvador Dali she dove into the world of abstract painting in 1998. Working with acrylics, defining her signature style, Derrie’s work is described as energetic, flowing, passionate, vibrant and expressive, with each piece created intuitively offering individual interpretation. Today her creative forms are many, ranging from Painting, Pottery, Felting, Tapestry Weaving, Welding + culinary creations. Her work is complimentary in settings from traditional to modern decor. Derrie’s work has been show cased across the Okanagan Valley for the past 19 years. Her work has found new locations, to enrich others lives, across Canada as well as internationally to Great Britain, Japan, Australia and Dubai. www.derriesellesartist.com Craft Corner Kitchen Since opening their doors in 2016, Craft Corner Kitchen has been listening to what their customers’ requests and are excited to be home to Penticton’s own Gastropub! Locally sourced produce is incredibly important to Jon Cote, Craft Corner Kitchen Owner. “In an area surrounded by great resources, it’s important for us to showcase them. We welcome professional Chef Ian Stilborn, formerly of Liquidity Bistro in Okanagan Falls. Ian is orchestrating the food menu to reflect the community’s needs. The menu will consist of many appetizers made for sharing, featured sandwiches and composed dinner dishes to enjoy with a nice bottle of wine, BC crafted beer or one of my award-winning cocktails.” Craft Corner Kitchen has a great trendy space to launch Penticton’s first authentic Gastropub. Gastropubs have typical pub fare made with quality ingredients and unique twists. Using local products and supporting local vendors is at the forefront of Cote’s vision.
