Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon, in partnership with the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation and Interior Health, invites media and special guests to the official grand opening of the Kamloops Ronald McDonald Family Room — a landmark moment in the expansion of family-centred care across British Columbia. Kamloops Ronald McDonald Family Room Grand Opening When: Friday, June 13, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Where: Kruger Unifor Atrium, Phil & Jennie Gaglardi Tower, Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, BC Located just steps from the hospital’s pediatric, NICU, and obstetrical units, this new 1,100-square-foot Family Room will serve as a vital sanctuary for families with children receiving care at Royal Inland Hospital. The space was made possible thanks to a transformational $1 million gift from Kamloops’ own Rae Nixon and her family and will stand as a legacy of compassion and community generosity. This special event will include a formal announcement, tours of the space, and opportunities to hear from representatives, stakeholders, donors, and families. Additional details, including speakers and program highlights, will be shared in the weeks ahead.
