Event Description

Join ceramic artist Candace Webb for a fun and creative Valentine’s Day themed kids ceramic class where you and your child will have an opportunity to experience and explore the creative, therapeutic educational value of clay. In this class, students will learn the basic foundation of clay while exploring hand building, sculpture techniques using slab and coil methods as well as decorating/glaze techniques. Together will create a small clay heart shaped dish, a few clay magnets and or ornaments (a total of 5 clay items made)... This class is for children ages 7-12 with parent participation. No experience required. All materials and instruction (for child plus parent) is included in this workshop for $40 taxes included. Ticket can be split between two kids plus parent ($40 covers the cost of materials and firing artwork in kilns)... Date and time: Friday February 8 from 4pm - 5pm located at East Kelowna Hall 2704 East Kelowna Rd, Kelowna, BC Completed work will be available for pick up on Feb 13th - Just in time for Valentine’s Day!
