Join us for an evening performance of contemporary, neo-classical, hip hop, jazz, modern, flamenco and lyrical dance. To top off the evening there will be live music by Anna Jacyszyn Trio for all audience members to simply enjoy or dance to, plus a reception and silent auction -all to follow the performance! The dancers will also come and share in the merriment, food and music as we continue this special evening. Come and experience this time of love and community with us. This is the perfect Valentine's Day gift for that special someone, for family, or for yourself to celebrate love, dance and music. Tanya Vadurova-Bakala is a two time award winner and the producer/director of this innovative evening of love and dance and has a passion for making her dancers' dreams come true. She is also the founder and artistic director of Mission Dance Centre, now in its 16th year. The dancers will be a mixture of those who are pursuing dance as a professional career, special guests, and others who are enrolled in the contemporary/ballet pre-professional dance program at Mission Dance Centre & Company. Also special guests have been invited. The proceedings from this event will go towards 13 selected MDC senior students touring Toronto this year. These young talented Mission Dance artists will have the opportunity to perform for artistic directors, choreographers, and directors of the Toronto post-secondary professional dance institutions They will gain valuable connections with post secondary dance program institutions of many dance styles. This total immersion and performance exchange in the world of professional dance for the up and coming dance talents of Kelowna is a long time dream finally coming true for Tanya Vadurova-Bakala. Come dress up a little or a lot and share in the whole evening of inspiration, beauty, and pure joy of love!
