Event Description

"Let's Stirrup Some Family Fun" and check out the 85th Kamloops Provincial Winter Fair & Auction. In 2023, Kamloops Exhibition Association are celebrating the 85th Anniversary – it’s been 85 years since the BC Winter Fair was moved to Kamloops in 1939 during War Time. The first “Annual Provincial Christmas Fat Stock Show and Sale” came into being on December 4, 1939, located at the Kamloops Stockyards.
The show has come a long way, but the 4-H & Open livestock show, and photography competitions remain at it’s core. However, Kamloops Exhibition Association are happy to celebrate with a few new and returning events to the 2023 fair.
The popular Grapes & Grill 19+ Wine Food Pairing event returns showcasing the local Kamloops Wine Region with local beef and lamb pairings. The Kamloops Exhibition Association are excited to also welcome “SuperDogs” – the popular dog agility performance with amazing, athletic, and adorable SuperDogs show off their skills in a fast-paced celebration of fun, guided by a professional host and elevated with great music! This fun family entertainment will be a popular event for sure! Plus, a fun kid zone, scavenger hunt, and educational stations for everyone to enjoy! Friday, September 22 is Kids Day with Uncle Chris the Clown! Face Painting All Weekend.
Go visit the fair and see what sponsorships do for 4-H and the exhibition of local agriculture industries. The Kamloops Exhibition Association also invite you to the sale on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 9:30 AM for the Parade of Champions at the Circle Creek Equestrian Centre fairgrounds, with the live sale starting at 10:00 AM.
