Get ready for a weekend of celebrations! The Westside Daze festivities have been kicking off summer for nearly half a century, and the festivities are about to sound off beach season once again.
This year's Westside festivities are spread over four action-packed days from July 10 to 13. An exciting lineup includes midway rides, a parade, food trucks, a kids' fair, bouncy castles, giant inflatable games, and the great music Westside Daze is known for.

2025 Brings Bonus Midway Time
The events at Memorial Park start early this year, with the gates opening to Shooting Star Amusements on Thursday, July 10. From there, 3 pm Friday night is the official opening of the weekend of celebrations, with an official ceremony at 6:30. According to Westside Daze Committee Member Jarrett Young, the festivities only ramp up from there.
Food trucks and an evening of live music follow the opening ceremony, with the fabulous music carrying on right through the weekend.
Young says the parade and post-parade family-centred kids' events were among the most popular parts of last year's celebrations, adding that families are a key part of the weekend-long festivities, and this year's kids' fair promises to be even bigger and better than ever (bouncy castles and giant inflatable games!).

Westside Daze Popular Parade
The family fun gets rolling Saturday morning at 10:30 with a parade (check out the Westside Daze official site for the route). The much-loved Westside Daze Kids Fair opens after the parade, with family fun from 12 to 4. Youngsters can look forward to a ton of activities, everything from a free face-painting booth to a reptile show hosted by the Little Reptile Queen. There will also be a foam party, midway rides, and more.
For the Friday night lineup, Totally Twain (North America's #1 Shania Twain tribute—featuring the fabulous vocals of Vancouver singer Michelle Reid) will get the crowd up and dancing! Music lovers can also look forward to the timeless bluegrass sounds of BC's Jackson Hollow.
Saturday evening's great music lineup sounds off at 6 pm, with British Columbia's own Johnathan Williams. He is celebrating the success of his latest award-winning single, "That's What a Heartbreak Tastes Like," and you can be sure that his heart-felt Canadian-grown lyrics will feature in the songs he will be belting out.
Nonstop music follows, with sets from Vancouver’s Appaloosa and Saskatchewan's Munro Patrick Band. Winding up Saturday's night of music and midway rides will be the light show magic created by Westside Daze Drone Show, lifting off at 10 pm.
Check their Facebook page for more entertainers as they are announced.
As in past years, ground zero for Westside Daze remains at Westside Park. Food and merchandise vendors are also a big part of the fun weekend, and as always, the musical performances and events are free. More information can be found here on the Westside Daze website.
