Subaru - A Car That Fits The Lifestyle

Jumping in the car and hitting the winding Okanagan roads for a day of exploring is exactly what the Okanagan lifestyle is all about.

What better way to do that than in a Subaru that’s made for all terrain, all wheel driving, corner hugging fun.

“Subaru fits the lifestyle here,” said Subaru of Penticton General Sales Manager Al Just. The beauty of a Subaru is that it can take you from mountain, to highway, to back country roads with the same level of comfort, safety and handling.

“There is so much technology in our cars and we are known for our all wheel drive and safety rating,” explained Just.

Subaru of Penticton’s dealership may be small, but it packs a punch and offers the same services as its larger sister company in Kelowna; Anthony’s Subaru. Test drives, new sales, pre-owned vehicles, service bays, parts and accessories are all part of Subaru of Penticton’s small town service.

“We may be small, but we’re very well known, and we are very community oriented. We sponsor several events in the community and our sales people, between the two of them, know most everybody in town,” said Just, who’s been managing the Penticton dealership for two years.

Last year marked Subaru of Penticton’s best year ever for sales, with the Forester topping the charts, likely due to the active, outdoor lifestyle people lead in the region.

Many of the dealership’s customers are repeat customers who are coming in for a second or third vehicle. They often don’t even sell their older model, but rather pass it down to a family member. Just explained that even with 300,000 km on a car, they are still running solid.

As for resale, should someone decide to, Subaru has the best resale value in the market according to Just.

“We had a customer with a 2016 Crosstrek that was written off by ICBC after an accident, and ICBC gave them almost full value for the vehicle,” said Just.

The love of Subaru for those who walk into the dealership is evident.

“A lot of customers have done a lot of research before they come in, so it’s our job to tell them the benefits of owning a Subaru and to narrow down what will best fit the customer’s needs and wants,” explained Just.

Whether they want something sporty and quick like the BRZ or WRX, or something for towing like the Forester or Outback, or a vehicle for touring such as the Legacy, Just and his team can find just the right fit and finish.
