KELOWNA - The airport will be introducing a new year round service connecting the Okanagan to the Kootenays.
YLW director Sam Samaddar says Pacific Coastal Airlines will begin operation of 19 seat airplanes, six days a week excluding Saturday beginning Nov. 18.
The service is expected to increase activity between the two regions while boosting tourism into the Okanagan sun desination. The service is also expected to be a boost for business travel. Those referred to Kelowna General Hospital for specialized care will be able to use the flight to decrease travel time from the Kootenays.
The airline will also offer service to Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto.
