FILE PHOTO

Interior Health is once again closing the emergency room in Clearwater overnight tonight.

From 6 p.m. today, June 8, until 7 a.m. tomorrow, residents who need emergency care are advised to call 9-1-1, or go to the ER at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, roughly an hour-and-a-half away.

Over the past few months, the emergency room at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital has been closed overnight 10 times.
