An entertainer famous among toddlers, and their parents, around the globe has added a Penticton stop this spring to their North American tour.

The live musical show Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour will be touring theatres across North America and arriving at South Okanagan Events Centre on May 19, 2023, according to an events centre media release.

Blippi has more than one billion monthly views on YouTube for his educational and entertaining content for toddlers and more than 50 million fans worldwide. Blippi’s content is available in more than 20 languages, distributed by more than 30 global broadcast and streaming partners around the world.

“(Blippi) inspires curiosity in preschoolers around the world by creating content and experiences that are relatable, accessible and make learning fun,” reads the release.

For Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour, the character Blippi will be played by professional stage performers selected specifically for the stage show, alongside special guest Meekah, Blippi’s creative, inventive, cart-wheel-loving pal.

Meekah also stars alongside Blippi in Blippi’s Treehouse on Amazon and recently launched her own YouTube channel in September.
