Woman seriously injured after being hit by pickup truck in Vernon

A woman was seriously injured when she hit by a pickup truck crossing a street in Vernon.

The 55-year-old woman was struck by a pickup truck as she crossed at the intersection of 46 Avenue at 25 Street in Vernon at about 1:45 p.m. yesterday, June 2.

She was taken to hospital with what were considered serious injuries, according to an RCMP media release.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Anyone who witnessed the accident and has not yet spoken to police is asked to call the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171.
