WolfPack men's basketball splits at Fraser Valley

Abbotsford, BC—The Thompson Rivers University got over 20 points from a rookie and a veteran and they downed the host University of Fraser Valley Cascades 79-67 in Canada West men’s basketball play on Saturday (Jan 28).

Volodymyr Iegorov (5th year, forward, Donetsk, Ukraine) had a ‘double double”: 25 points and 12 rebounds while Trent Monkman (1st year, guard, Smithers, BC) added 20 points and seven rebounds

SYNOPSIS

The WolfPack moved back to .500 in league play.  They were up 33-30 at the half.   Fraser Valley had three players in double figures led by Manny Dulay with 20.
Two other WolfPack players: Luke Morris (4th year, forward, Mission, BC) and Joe Davis (2nd year, forward, Kamloops, BC) were also in double figures.  Morris had 14 points while Davis added 11.

Next weekend, Thompson Rivers will be at home to the University of Calgary Dinos while Fraser Valley will entertain the University of Victoria Vikes.
