VERNON - North Okanagan RCMP are looking for witnesses to a hit and run in Grindrod last night.

RCMP say around 6:30 p.m., March 13, a 56-year-old man was hit by a vehicle at Old Sicamous Road and Grandview Bench Road in Grindrod and taken to hospital with serious injuries. Investigators believe he was walking home from Armstrong.

"North Okanagan RCMP spoke with numerous people but were unable to locate anyone who had witnessed the actual collision," Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says in a media release. "RCMP would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information that may further the investigation."

In particular, police would like to talk to the driver of small, red crew cab pickup truck seen in the area at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Armstrong RCMP at 250-546-3028 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
