Winter coats and boots badly needed in Lake Country

KELOWNA – An Okanagan non-profit does not have enough winter coats and boots to get them through the cold weeks ahead.

Clary Lausnes and the rest of her team at All Are Family Outreach are open every Thursday for anyone to come and get clothes, food and necessities, free of charge.

Lausnes says they are currently struggling with not having enough adult cold weather wear for those sure to come through their doors as winter grinds on. Boots size 7 to 12 are especially needed, but they also need canned fruit, milk, blankets, tents, produce, pasta sauce and rice. Tax receipts are available.

Located in Lake Country, All Are Family volunteers serve children and adults from West Kelowna to Armstrong.

“We try to always have fresh produce, because that is one of the first things that goes missing from a family’s diet when they run into financial hard times,” Lausnes says.
