Kamloops RCMP are warning the public of multiple break and enters that occured in Brocklehurst yesterday.

Kamloops RCMP Const. Bernie Ward said culprits forced their way into two homes on the 1900 block of Fleetwood Avenue during the day yesterday by prying open windows.

"The police are requesting for homeowners to keep an eye out during the daytime for people hanging around the area," Ward said in a press release.

A common strategy is to ring the doorbell and ask for someone that doesn't live there, to see if anyone is home.

Ward also recommended notifying neighbours when leaving the house for a period of time so someone will be watching the property.

He is also reminds Kamloops residents to always lock all doors and windows.

Those with information regarding this incident or any suspicious activity are asked to contact RCMP at the local detachment by calling 250-828-3000.
