If you’re expecting a package to arrive, you may have to be patient.

Canada Post announced this afternoon, Sept. 14, it has suspended delivery to a big chunk of B.C.

“Due to poor air quality in central and southern British Columbia caused by smoke from forest fires in the western United States, we are suspending delivery for the day and not sending our delivery agents out as conditions have made it unsafe,” a representative said in a press release.

The Okanagan, Similkameen, the Kootenays, Thompson, Metro Vancouver, South Vancouver Island and North Vancouver Island regions are all out of luck.
