A wildfire burning several kilometres east of Enderby is now under control.
B.C. Wildfire Service fire information officer Kyla Fraser told iNFOnews.ca today, April 27, the fire in the Enderby Mabel Oxbow area, around three or four kilometres east of Enderby, is currently being held and is now a smouldering ground fire.
The fire, which is suspected to be human-caused, is currently 3.15 hectares in size and three B.C. Wildfire Service firefighters are currently at the site.
The fire was discovered April 25 and spread quickly due to strong winds from a storm that passed through the area.
There are no structures threatened by the blaze.
