WILD WEDNESDAY: Have you ever wondered how bins become certified as being bear-resistant?

Having bear-resistant bins is one way to keep bears away from garbage and food waste on your property.

In this episode of WildSafeBC's Wild Wednesday video posted to Facebook, we get a glimpse of the process on how bins become certified as being bear-resistant. 

But no bins are labelled as bear-proof, WildSafeBC says in their post and there's a reason for that.

"With enough time and effort and if humans forget to close the lid, a bear can get into almost anything," the post says.
