WildSafeBC showed us trail cam video of a female moose having some fun in a pond in B.C.'s Interior last month and at the time speculated that she might be pregnant and about to give birth. It turns out she was with calf.
Check out the amazing video footage below to watch the mother and her young calf hanging out by a pond.
Moose typically have their young in late May, according to WildSafeBC.
WildSafeBC wants to remind people to give a moose with a calf plenty of room. They are known to attack and kill in defense of their young. If you are attacked, try to remain upright and get behind something to protect you, like a tree or try to climb up on something.
