VERNON - RCMP are searching for the owner of a plastic bag with ten bills inside, found at the downtown Vernon CIBC branch.
In a media release, Vernon Mounties say the bag was found sitting on a chair in the waiting area Jan. 6, 2015. The discovery was reported to police by a bank employee, however it wasn't turned over for a couple weeks while CIBC waited to see if someone would claim it.
Officers eventually took possession of the cash and now hope the owner will come forward, identify a unique item inside the bag and take their property home.
If you are the person who lost the cash, or know who did, please call the Vernon RCMP at 250 545-7171.
