Where and how to vote for the Kamloops civic election

KAMLOOPS - Whether you're a first-time voter or just looking for a brief refresher on how and where you can vote for the Kamloops local election, here's a quick reminder on where you need to be this Saturday.

But before you head to the voting polls there are some requirements you must meet to be eligible to vote.

You must be a Canadian citizen, 18 years old or older, have lived in B.C. for six months and have lived in Kamloops for at least 30 days.

For those who don't reside in Kamloops but own real estate or property in the city, you can still vote as a non-resident property elector.

Once you have figured out if you meet the criteria, you can head to any of the below voting locations which will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.

  • Lloyd George Elementary School at 830 Pine St.
  • Heritage House 100 Lorne St.
  • South Sahali Elementary School at 1585 Summit Dr.
  • Aberdeen Elementary School at 2191 Van Horne Dr.
  • Dufferin Elementary School at 1880 Hillside Dr.
  • Valleyview Secondary School at 1950 Valleyview Dr.
  • Dallas Elementary School at 296 Harper Rd.
  • R.L. Clemitson elementary School at 5990 Todd Rd.
  • Arthur Hatton Elementary School at 315 Chestnut Ave.
  • NorKam Secondary School at 730 12th St.
  • Parkcrest Elementary School 2170 Parkcrest Ave.
  • Westmount Elementary School at 745 Walkem Rd.
  • Arthur Stevenson Elementary School at 2890 Bank Rd.
  • Rayleigh Elementary School at 306 Puett Ranch Rd.
  • Sahali Mall will offer voting hours from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

To vote all you'll need are two pieces of identification, at least one with your signature and one with your address.
