THOMPSON OKANAGAN - The author of Wheat Belly is stopping through the Thompson Okanagan on a speaking tour this week.

The ‘Experience Wheatlessness’ presentation features Dr. William Davis, author of both Wheat Belly and the Wheat Belly Cookbook. He is joined by Julie Daniluk, author of Meals that Heal Inflammation and Life Coach and Autopoetic Ideas founder, Anne Berube.

Wheat Belly is a health and wellness book that promotes eliminating high-yield, semi-dwarf wheat products from one's diet.

The tour stops in Penticton at the Cleland Community Theatre tonight; in Kelowna at the Delta Grand Okanagan tomorrow night; in Kamloops at Thompson Rivers University’s Grand Hall Wednesday night; and in Vernon at the Vernon Community Centre Thursday night.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the presentation begins at 7 p.m. Get there early if you’re interested in an onsite bookstore and product samples. A book-signing and question and answer period will follow. General admission tickets are $40, special seating and private reception tickets are $80. Tickets can be purchased online.
