Wet weekend on the way for the Okanagan

OKANAGAN - Hopefully indoor activities are on the weekend agenda, because anything planned for outside could get rained out. Environment Canada's weekend forecast is predicting plenty of rain all in the Okanagan.

Expect a high of 15 Celsius today, Oct. 6. Plan for clouds and a chance of showers this afternoon. Kelowna may get 5 to 10 mm of rain. Penticton should see high winds throughout the day, peaking at 30 km per hour after midnight.

Friday should reach a high of about 14 C. Rain is on the radar for all of the Okanagan with an overnight low of 6 C expected.

Saturday and Sunday don't look promising. The forecast is calling for more rain and a high of 12 C over the weekend. Saturday night should post a low of 9 C and Sunday, a low of 5 C.

Looking ahead to next week, the rain should let up Monday, with a high of 12 C and a mix of sun and cloud.

The average high temperature for this time of year is 15 C.
