KAMLOOPS - Five males were arrested in connection with an attempted break and enter at a Westsyde liquor store this morning.
Cpl. Cheryl Bush, a spokesperson for Kamloops RCMP, says police responded quicky after two witnesses reported a break and enter in progress at Starter's Liquor Store at 3020 Westsyde Rd. around 12:30 a.m. today, Feb. 9.
A responding officer noticed a group of males in the nearby area. When he informed them they were being arrested all five fled on foot, Bush says. Officers and Eric the police dog took three 19-year-old males into custody along with an 18-year-old and 16-year-old.
Bush says one of the 19-year-old males was treated for a dog bite and was later released from hospital.
