KELOWNA - WestJet Airlines has added new flights to Kelowna and Penticton as part of a general schedule expansion.

Kelowna International Airport will see seven new flights a week from Vancouver and two more each week from Calgary, as well as additional flights from Edmonton.

Penticton will see an increase in flights from Calgary, according to a series of press releases sent out today, Jan. 29.

Service between Vancouver and Kelowna will increase to seven flights daily or 49 each week.

Flights between Calgary and Kelowna will increase to 47 each week including seven flights each business day, WestJet said. It did not give details of the new Edmonton flights.

The press release did not indicate how many new flights might be added between Penticton and Calgary, the airline’s hub, but it currently offers one flight a day through its Encore subsidiary.
