WEST KELOWNA - Due to continuing hot, dry weather, the City of West Kelowna has moved to stage two watering regulations.

Residents are advised that, effective immediately, outdoor watering is prohibited between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and is only permitted two days per week, as follows:
- Even numbered addresses water on Tuesdays and Saturdays
- Odd numbered addresses water on Sundays and Wednesdays

Hand watering of all landscape plant materials and vegetable plantings, excluding lawns, is permitted, either with a watering can or a control nozzle on a hose. Using an open pipe or hose for irrigating purposes is not allowed.

Properties equipped with automated, timed sprinkler systems may only sprinkle between the hours of midnight to 6 a.m. on the days permitted by the sprinkling regulations as described above. Properties equipped with manually controlled sprinkling systems, including those attached to outside taps, may only operate from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to midnight on the days permitted by the sprinkling regulations as described above.
