West Kelowna resident interrupts burglar armed with knife

WEST KELOWNA – A West Kelowna resident was threatened with a knife when he interrupted a burglary yesterday, police say.

Shortly before 3 p.m. Dec. 4, RCMP were called to a report of an interrupted break and enter to a home in the 3400 block of Turnbull Road in the Glenrosa area.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says the break and enter suspect produced a weapon when confronted by a local resident and fled the area on foot.

The resident was not injured.

“Police are investigating whether or not the interrupted break and enter on Turnbull Road is related to two other area residential break and enters, one on Preston Road and one on Lansbury Way,” O’Donaghey says.
