West Kelowna resident injured in early morning home invasion

WEST KELOWNA – A West Kelowna resident was taken to hospital after a violent home invasion early Saturday morning.

RCMP were called to a home on the 2500-block of Colleen Road, July 23, to a report of a break-and-enter and an assault.

A police services dog was unable to locate the suspect who broke into the home with his face covered just before 2:30 a.m, according to a RCMP media release.

“A resident inside the home was transported to hospital suffering from what police believe to be minor, non-life threatening injuries,” O’Donaghey says in the release.

West Kelowna RCMP are continuing to investigate this incident and ask that anyone with any information to contact the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-28800, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
