There has been a confirmed case of COVID-19  at E´cole Glenrosa Middle School, district officials announced today, Nov. 8.

The affected person is self-isolating at home with support from local public health teams, the district said in a release.  Interior Health follows up with anyone potentially exposed to a confirmed case directly through contact tracing.

Again the district did not offer insight into whether it was a student, staff member or teacher who tested positive.

Central Okanagan Public Schools said it will continue to work closely with Interior Health to determine if any additional actions are required and to support ongoing communication to the E´cole Glenrosa Middle School community.

"As always, we remind people to stay home from school if they show any symptoms," the statement reads.

E´cole Dr. Knox Middle School and Kelowna Secondary School had exposures announced on the same day. Virus exposures have also happened at Okanagan Mission Secondary in Kelowna, St. Joseph Elementary School and École de l’Anse-au-sable.

The outbreak at École de L’Anse-au-sable was declared over last week.
