Graham Donovan and his cat named Famous are a familiar duo in Kamloops.
Donovan has had the cat with him for over two years and they live in Valleyview, where several community members look after their needs. This includes vet bills and food for the cat who soothes Donovan’s anxiety.

Famous went missing, March 24, in an unfamiliar part of town when Donovan left the Valleyview area to the downtown area for a medical appointment. As the days pass, Donovan’s anxiety over his missing best friend increase, and several community members are stepping up to help reunite the pair.
Brittni Baker is a friend of Donovan’s who has been driving him around to look for the cat since Saturday.
“Someone found Famous around Scott’s Inn and dropped him off at an old address on his collar,” Baker said. “I took Graham to the address at Sage Meadows Modular Home Park on East Shuswap Road and the lady there said she let the cat out to go to the bathroom and it got away.”
Baker said she and Donovan spent over an hour searching the area but had no luck finding the cat. She returned the following day to search some more. People in the park helped to look and posters have been hung up in the area since.

Meantime, Donovan is having emotional difficulty coping with the separation.

“I’ve never seen anyone in so much pain, just being there and having to drive him back to Valleyview without Famous was one of the hardest things I’ve done,” Baker said. “He doesn’t have much in this world but he has love for Famous."
The cat is described as a small, brown tabby.
“Any word on where my baby Famous might be I need some help really badly,” Donovan said in a social media post today, March 29.
