Weezer coming to Penticton events centre

Weezer wiil be making an appearance at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton on April 8, 2017.

PENTICTON - Well known rock band Weezer comes to the South Okanagan Events Centre Saturday, April 8 along with special guests The Trews and The Flatliners. 

Weezer has sold 17 million albums since the band’s inception in 1992. The bands hits include “Buddy Holly,” “Undone,” and “Say it Isn’t So.”

The band is presently manned by Rivers Cuomo, (lead vocals, guitar) Patrick Wilson, (drums) Brian Bell, (rhythm guitar, backing vocals, keyboards) and Scott Shriner, ( bass, backing vocals).

Weezer released its 10th album in 2016, debuting at number five on the Billboard 200 chart.

The Trews, who come from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, will open the show.

The band, now Toronto-based, have 16 top rock singles to their credit and two gold certified albums.

The Flatliners, a punk rock band with five albums to their credit, will start the April 8 performance.

Tickets go on sale January 20 at 10 a.m. Ticket prices are $57.50 and $77.50 and can be purchased at the events centre box office, by phone at 1-877-763-2849 or online at ValleyFirstTix.com.
