Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kamloops
Bowl for Kids’ Sake Volunteer- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kamloops is looking for volunteers to assist with their Bowl For Kids’ Sake event held from March 3-6, 2017 at Bowlertime and Falcon Lanes bowling alley. Volunteers will help out with the staff at bowling events, run games, the raffle, and various other duties. All ages are welcome to volunteer. Oncore Seniors Society
Snow Angels Volunteers- Oncore Seniors Society needs volunteers in all areas of our community to shovel snow for seniors registered through our program. Each time a Snow Angel shovels they will receive a coupon from Dominos for a free pizza.  Volunteers have a 24 hour window to shovel only the driveway and front sidewalk. Beattie Elementary
Basketball Referee - Beattie Elementary school is looking for volunteers to referee elementary basketball games. The games take place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 2:30 - 4:30pm. Adaptive Sports at Sun Peaks
Bookkeeping System Support Volunteer - We're looking for a volunteer to help set up the software for a bookkeeping system that our Treasurer can maintain once it is setup. Overlander Residential Care
Volunteers are needed for the Volunteer Office- Some of the duties are tabulating hours, photocopying, assist with orientation preparation, distribute and take down posters on site for special events (Christmas, Easter) assist with Volunteer Appreciation, mail outs, filing, etc. Volunteer must be reliable, responsible, attention to detail, previous office or bookkeeping experience preferred, organized and patient. Shifts: morning at 9:00am - 11:30am or afternoon at 1:00pm - 4:00pm. The available shifts at the moment are Thursday & Fridays in 9:00am - 11:30am. 19+ to volunteer. Ask Wellness Society
Volunteer Driver - Volunteers will pick up food hampers for chronically ill clients who are eligible monthly for a hamper. A valid driver's licence and good running vehicle is required. Chamber Musicians of Kamloops
Core Volunteers- Chamber Musicians of Kamloops is looking for some core volunteers for their performances through the year. Volunteers will help set up and take down for special events and performances, and operate a video system/camera for the performances. They should be organized and physically fit, people friendly and have a good attitude. All ages are welcome, but volunteers younger than 19 need to volunteer with a responsible adult. Laboratory Reception Volunteers - The volunteers will enhance the quality of laboratory visits for patients, families and visitors by providing direction, support and assistance in the reception and waiting area. We're looking for volunteers who are flexible, show good judgment, discretion, and able to work as part of a team with the public and staff. 18+ to volunteer. Free Office Phones- Volunteer Kamloops has recently had a donation of RCA office phones that are available for anyone to pick up. The phones have 4 lines, and are gently used-only 2 years old. If any businesses need phones for the office, feel free to give us a call at 250-372-8313.
