If you’re looking for affordable fun for the whole family this coming weekend, there are several events happening across Kamloops and the Okanagan, and here are just a few.
An Artisan’s Showcase is presenting the Yuletide market in Penticton all weekend long where visitors can expect to see artisans, makers, growers, brewers and bakers from all over the Okanagan.
Santa Claus will be making appearances on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Food Bank donations of non-perishable food items along with unwrapped toys will be accepted.
Located at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre at 283 Power Street, Yuletide at the PTCC runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 5.
Weekend passes cost $5.00, day passes cost $3.00 and children 12 and under are free. Tickets are payable at the door.

The District of Lake Country is hosting a Water Availability Workshop and the cost is free.
The four-hour event starts with coffee and registration before several speakers will discuss topics like water availability in the Okanagan Basin and Lake Country, watershed management, and farming and food production.
Coffee, snacks and lunch will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a donation for the food bank.
Located at Beasley Park at 3450 Woodsdale Road, the event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4. Go here to get your tickets.
Galaxy Cinemas in Vernon is offering a morning of free family friendly movies and discounted concession snacks on Saturday in celebration of Community Day. $1 from every concession order supports BGC Canada (formerly Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada) all day long.
Located at Galaxy Cinemas at #275-2306 Highway 6, the event runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4.

The Llama Sanctuary in Tappen, near Kamloops, is offering guided tours for the winter where visitors can interact with and hand-feed llamas and alpacas, and take photos.
Standard tickets cost $20 while youth passes cost $10.
Located at the sanctuary at 1315 Tappen Valley Road, Llama & Alpaca Winter Guided Tours are running from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on multiple dates and are set up by booking online or calling 250-948-3675.
