Weekend is looking good weather-wise in Okanagan

There's going to be some sun, rain and cloud in the Okanagan over the next few days, with the weekend promising to be mostly dry with sun and clouds during the daytime.

PENTICTON - There’s a spring mix of weather in store for the Okanagan through this coming weekend.

Environment Canada is calling for a mainly sunny day in the valley today, April 4, with a daytime high of 14 Celsius in Vernon and Kelowna, and a high of 16 C in Penticton.

Rain returns to the forecast tomorrow with a few showers expected to begin in the morning and the snow level is expected to drop to 1600 metres. A high of 12 C is expected tomorrow with an overnight low of 4 C.

Saturday and Sunday should be good for outdoor activities with a mix of sun and cloud expected both days and highs around 13 C. Showers are expected overnight Saturday.

Periods of rain are expected on Monday with a high of 14 C, followed by a sun and cloud mix on Tuesday with a high of 15 C.

Normal temperatures this time of year in the Okanagan are highs around 13 C and lows of about 1 C.
