Weather to match first week of fall in Kamloops

The first week of fall in Kamloops will be bringing fall-like weather conditions to the city this week.

KAMLOOPS - The first days of fall are going to feel like it this week in Kamloops with unsettled conditions and below seasonal temperatures for the latter part of the week.

Environment Canada says to expect a 70 per cent chance of showers today, Sept. 23, with winds becoming southeast at 30 km/h gusting to 50 this afternoon. Kamloops should see a high of 17 C today with clearing skies near midnight and an overnight low of 8 C.

Tomorrow should be sunny in the morning before turning to a mix of sun and cloud in the afternoon. Winds are expected to become west at 20 km/h late in the morning tomorrow with a high of 21 C and an overnight low of 10 C expected.

Periods of rain are forecast for Wednesday with a high of 18 C expected. The rain should continue through Wednesday night, along with windy conditions and a low of 8 C.

Thursday should see a return of the sun along with wind and a high of 15 C. Showers are expected to return Thursday night with a low of 6 C.

Friday should see cloudy conditions and a 60 per cent chance of showers, along with a high of 12 C. The showers are expected to persist through Friday night with a 30 per cent chance of precipitation and an overnight low of 7 C.

The upcoming weekend should see a mix of sun and cloud on Saturday and mostly sunny conditions Sunday with daytime highs of 14 C and 15 C respectively.

Normal temperatures for this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 19 C and lows of 7 C.
