Heavily-armed cops made an arrest at a downtown Kamloops motel this afternoon.
RCMP were called to Canada's Best Value Inn today, April 17, where a damaged red Dodge Ram was under supervision by officers until it could be towed.
The lifted truck with at least two smashed windows and a flat tire was loaded onto a flat deck.
Police haven't provided many details about the investigation, but Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said the police action was the result of a weapons report. The Southeast District Emergency Response Team was called in to assist with the arrest due to potential dangers.
While one suspect was arrested at the motel, police nabbed two more people at a home on the Tk'emlups reserve.
Police said they were responding to a report involving a weapon at a Kootenay Way home, where officers were still present this afternoon waiting for a search warrant.
