KELOWNA - The McKinley Landing area is no longer under a water quality advisory.

Today, July 31, the Glenmore-Ellison Improvement District stated in a release that the McKinley Landing Water System Water Quality Advisory is over, effective immediately.

Properties on Shayler Road, Place & Court and the McKinley Beach Development that falls under the of Glenmore-Ellison Improvement District are included within the release.

A water quality advisory is used when there is a modest threat to public health. It is issued when actions, other than boiling water, can be taken to reduce the risks.

Monitoring and disinfection are ongoing throughout Glenmore-Ellison Improvement District's distribution system.
