SpaceX's Demo-2 mission will get another chance at a launch today, May 30.
Demo-2 marks the first launch of NASA astronauts on a commercial spacecraft and the first launch of American astronauts into orbit on a U.S.-built vehicle from America since 2011.
"SpaceX is returning human spaceflight to the United States with one of the safest, most advanced systems ever built, and NASA’s Commercial Crew Program is a turning point for America’s future in space exploration that lays the groundwork for future missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond," according to SpaceX.
The first launch was scheduled for May 27, but poor weather prompted a "launch scrub" which meant that it was forced to go to a secondary time slot of Saturday, May 30 at 12:22 p.m. EDT. If that doesn't work the next time is Sunday, May 31 at 12:00 p.m.
