Warrant issued for alleged Okanagan animal abuser

KELOWNA - A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a local man who has been charged with animal abuse.

Roland Maxson did not show up for court yesterday, June 23, where he was expected to plead guilty to causing unnecessary pain and suffering to an animal, failing to provide necessaries for an animal and causing an animal to continue to be in distress.

When he did not show up Judge Brad Chapman gave him an extra half hour before endorsing the warrant for non-appearance in court.
