OKANAGAN - The forecast is calling for sunshine this week with some pretty warm weather for this time of year.
Normally this week Environment Canada says high temperatures reach abou17 Celsius, however the mercury is expected to climb into the mid-20s over the next few days.
Today, Sept. 25, is expected to be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers this morning. Today, the high is expected to be around 20 C. Overnight, the temperature is predicted to fall to around 9 C. In Kelowna and Veron, there is a 30 per cent chance of showers overnight. In Penticton, the weather office says partly cloudy skies are likely with a northwest 20 km/h wind becoming light early this evening.
Tomorrow's forecast will bring a mix of sun and cloud across the Okanagan with a high of 23 C. Temperatures are expected to fall to 8 C overnight.
Plan for sunny weather on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Environment Canada expects Wednesday to be the warmest day of the week with a high of 25 C. On Thursday and Friday temperatures are expected to be around 23 C. Plan for cloudy periods on Friday night.
The forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud on the weekend with highs around 19 C.
Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of 17 C and lows of 5 C.
