Warm windy start to week in Kamloops and Okanagan

Temperatures are expected to continue above average this week in Kamloops and the Okanagan even though a couple of damp days are forecast.

There’s a 60% chance of showers today, March 28, and again Wednesday with a mainly sunny Tuesday in between.

Winds are expected to pickup this afternoon to 30 km/h with gusts of 50 km/h.

Temperatures are forecast by Environment Canada to reach 15 Celsius today and Tuesday in the Okanagan, drop to highs of 11 C to 12 C later in the week then climb back to 15 C on the weekend.

Kamloops is forecast to only reach 13 C today but 17 C Tuesday before dropping to 11 C to 12 C later in the week. Highs of 17 C are forecast for the weekend.

Normal highs for this time of year are 12 C in the Okanagan and 14 C in Kamloops.

Overnight lows will range from 0 C to 5 C, with Friday morning being forecast to be the coldest at -1 C in the Okanagan and 0 C in Kamloops.

  • 160 cm – Apex
